We offer a customized product just for you. By using a high power laser beam, we can semi-permanently mark or oxidize a metal or wooden handle. Although the depth of color may vary depending on the material, and some materials may not be possible to mark, our skilled engineers will process them under the best possible conditions.

・Regarding printing on other companies’ brands, it is required to make data of printing pages and jigs. Therefore, it will be relatively pricey.
・The recommended height difference from the top is within 10mm. If the difference is more than that, the clarity of the print may be inferior.

Surface Treatment & Coating
As a metal and cutlery specialist, we customize the design and utility of knives without sacrificing their performance, producing unique knives that will fill you with pride and fascination.
Note: When customizing, the parts of the knives need to be disassembled and processed individually. Therefore, the knives must be new and acuired from our online store.
Also, due to the complexity of assembling, we do not accept knives from other brands.

Diamond is the hardest natural mineral on earth. (Hv10,000)
The carbon used in the pencil’s lead has a fine diamond structure, giving it hardness and brilliance. Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) is a technique that artificially coats the characteristics of diamonds and is known as the best surface treatment. In addition to the hardness of the surface layer (Hv5,000), we apply a premium coating, which is also used for F1 engine pistons, with sliding smoothness (coefficient of friction from 0.1 to 0.2).

Color tone: deep jet black

・We process under our special conditions so that the cutting edge is not affected.
・Although it is less likely to be scratched, dents may occur on the base material depending on the conditions of use.
Black Oxidation :
The surface treatment is commonly referred to as blackening. This treatment involves the preferential formation of triiron tetraoxide (Fe3O4), which is a stable form of iron rust, to achieve a black color and provide protection against red rust. It can be challenging for stainless steel due to its corrosion-resistant properties. However, our partner companies in Sanjo City perform a special blackening process that combines advanced technical expertise with unique design capabilities.

Note:
Because it is a surface coating, it may gradually rub off or become a mottled pattern as you use the knife. These changes give the knife a unique look.

Resharpening Service
Unlike ordinary blades, sharpening the edge of CONVEX blades requires delicate techniques. In addition, the blade may be damaged if you do not sharpen it with the correct approach. Therefore, we recommend utilizing our blade sharpening service.
Muthos Homura offers a professional quality resharpening service for a fee through exclusive contracts with knife workshops and kitchen knife manufacturers. That is why you can enjoy our products in good condition for a long time.
