What's Matchet?
“Matchet” or “Machete”—A Western-Style Nata
Often referred to as "matchet" or "machete," this tool closely resembles Japan’s yabukogi nata—a brush-clearing hatchet commonly used in rugged terrain.
Widely Used in Central and South America
It typically refers to a large blade utilized for clearing vegetation and, at times, as a weapon. It’s an essential implement for agriculture and jungle work throughout the region.
Deep-Rooted Origins
Although its modern prominence is tied to the Spanish-speaking regions of Latin America, the machete's lineage traces even further back to ancient Europe.
Cultural and Symbolic Significance
Records show the machete was used in combat in Cuba as early as 1762. It also gained symbolic value through its use by the Puerto Rican revolutionary group Los Macheteros, who wielded it as an emblem of liberation.
A Tool of Labor, Struggle, and Identity
In Latin America, the machete is more than just a tool—it embodies a trinity of farming, resistance, and cultural pride. It’s often viewed as a symbol of the working class and defiance against oppression.

World's First! Saw Blade Attachment System Equipped (According to our internal research)
Our Original Design: World’s First Machete-Compatible Saw Attachment System
(Based on our internal research)¹
Hidden within the machete’s case is a saw blade and attachment unit, transforming it into a versatile 2-way gear—capable of cutting through even thick branches.
Adjustable Saw Blade Angles
Select from three cutting angles: 15°, 30°, or 45°, depending on your task.
¹ While there are products that store a machete and saw side by side, this integrated attachment system is unique to our design.
⚠️ Safety Note
Always wear protective gloves when using.

Wild Black Finished on Stainless-Steel
Crafted from Tough, Rust-Resistant SUS420J2 Stainless Steel
While this stainless alloy boasts impressive resistance to corrosion and excellent toughness, it is typically difficult to color. That’s why we applied a special blackening treatment to bring out a bold aesthetic.
A Wild Finish with Personality
The process inherently yields variation and unevenness—far from a flaw, this wild black finish is embraced as a feature. Each piece exhibits subtle differences in tone and texture, making it a truly one-of-a-kind creation.
Enjoy the Individuality
Your product may show mottling or shade variation, but that uniqueness is a mark of its character—no two exist alike in the world.
Forged and Sharpened in Tsubame-Sanjo—Japan’s Renowned Hub for Agricultural Tools Craftsmanship rooted in tradition and precision, born from a region synonymous with blade-making excellence.
Rooted in Tsubame-Sanjo, the Birthplace of Muthos Homura
This region has long been a hub for agricultural blade manufacturing. Staying true to that tradition, each machete is fully custom-made by our partnered factory specializing in agricultural blades.
Engineered for Supreme Sharpness
Crafted to exacting standards, the edge delivers an extraordinary cutting experience—razor-sharp and uncompromising.
0.16" (4mm) Thick Blade—Ideal for Batoning Engineered for strength and durability, the 0.16" (4mm) thickness enables confident batoning through wood and tough materials.
0.16" (4mm) Thick Design—Built for Splitting Firewood
The blade’s 0.16" (4mm) thickness provides the durability needed for firewood tasks.
Engineered for Strength & Lightness
While weight reduction is achieved through material cutouts, structural integrity is maintained via a reinforced beam-style framework.
G10 handle + customizable
The handle is crafted from G10—a high-pressure fiberglass laminate also used in the grips of overseas pistols—machined from a solid block of reinforced resin for maximum durability.
Its design features the signature tsuiki hammered texture, synonymous with Muthos Homura, offering a uniquely comfortable and tactile grip experience.
Additionally, the handle profile is standardized with the Bushcraft Knife Prominence MH-001/015 models, allowing interchangeable handles to be fitted for versatile customization.
To more Wild !
