Radical Blade Design
The cutting performance-focused asymmetrical blade design, proven in the Prominence MH-001/MH-015 (0.22" blade thickness), has now evolved.
For knives with thinner blades like this model (0.16" blade thickness), the curved clam-shaped grind loses its effectiveness. To address this, we adopted a new asymmetrical straight-edge configuration:
- Saber grind on the side that follows the wood grain (equivalent to Prominence series)
- Steep-angle Scandi grind on the side where wood chips are released
This results in a novel combination of a wide straight edge × narrow straight edge, optimized for precision and control.

Optimized for casual use
This model is designed with a concept focused on casual, rugged use across a variety of scenarios.
The handle material is G10, commonly used in firearm grips, and features Muthos Homura’s original tsuiki-style hammered finish.
Its shape is compatible with the Prominence series, allowing for shared components and streamlined part replacement.
A dedicated sheath is included.

Maintenance-friendly design
While the convex blade of the Prominence series requires stropping with leather strops for optimal maintenance,
this model features a straight edge that can be sharpened more easily—similar to a kitchen knife—using standard whetstones or sharpening tools.
※ If the blade becomes chipped or sharpening proves difficult, a paid sharpening service is available.
