World's first 2-way peg hammer (according to our own research)
By sharing a common handle design with our Pro Cut Saw, we have achieved a true 2-in-1 combining a full-fledged hand saw and a full-fledged peg hammer. The conversion can be done by hand using just a coin, making it easy to switch configurations even in outdoor settings.
※Excluding multi-tools
Pro Hammer + Pro Cut Saw PCS-210 replacement blade ⇔ Pro Cut Saw + Pro Hammer head unit
※A PCS-210 replacement blade is required to use as a saw.
※If you already own a Pro Cut Saw Mini, you can use this product by purchasing the Pro Hammer Mini (optional part; handle not included).
Stylish and compact peg hammer
A hammer as a tool — but at Muthos Homura, we set out to create more than just a tool. We envisioned a hammer worth showing off, one that becomes part of your fashion as true Outdoor Gear. As a standout piece that elevates your campsite, it commands attention not only when in use, but in every casual moment it appears. Enjoy the added sense of pride that comes with owning a professional-grade peg hammer with that little something extra.
2-piece construction & cationic electrodeposition coating for exceptional durability
While most peg hammers feature a steel head with a wooden handle, the Pro Hammer Mini takes a different approach. It uses tool alloy steel (HRC 48–54) for the cylindrical section where high strength is required, and carbon steel (HRC 40–50) for the plate section that must resist deformation under impact. These two materials, each chosen for their specific function, are joined using a cross half-lap joint combined with L-shaped welding.
While some peg hammers use copper or stainless steel heads to absorb impact, this hammer is engineered for maximum resistance to deformation and long-term durability. Cationic electrodeposition coating has also been applied, offering excellent corrosion resistance for iron-based materials.
※ Robotic welding is used for all weld joints; however, please note that each piece may vary slightly in appearance.
※ There is a small gap between the head and plate sections outside the welded area. This does not affect structural integrity.
※ Blast treatment is applied prior to painting, but please be aware that weld spatter around the weld zones may cause slight surface irregularities in the coating.
The photo below shows an actual hammer and peg after a 20-inch peg durability test of 100 repetitions (approximately 6,000 strikes). (The Pro Hammer Mini uses the same materials and hardness ratings.)
Notes on Appearance and Finish
This peg hammer features a highly durable 2-piece construction that combines the traditional woodworking technique of the cross half-lap joint with welded joining. However, due to the nature of the manufacturing process, some clearance (gaps) around the joint fit and minor surface irregularities (unevenness) in the coating near the weld zones are unavoidable. Please note that these do not affect functionality or durability, and we ask for your understanding before making your purchase.
Regarding the coating: cationic electrodeposition coating is used, providing excellent corrosion resistance. However, areas where the coating has chipped or been scratched — such as on the striking face — may be susceptible to rust formation and progression. Please perform proper maintenance after use.
